This folder contains information and sample code pertaining to the Dylan programming language.

The apps in this folder were created with the Alpha (1.0a1) release of Apple Dylan. These are extremely simple and limited applications intended to give very rough sneak preview at Dylan’s output for our most special friends.

• Dylan Interim Reference Manual (DIRM)
This is the most current language specification for Dylan (214 pages). A completely
revised version will be available later this year.
• Dylan WWDC'94 brochure
A two-page brochure describing the Apple Dylan environment distributed at the Apple World Wide Developers Conference in May 1994 by Apple. This document was created with Common Ground so you don't need the original fonts or applications. On Mac, just double-click to view. Marlais is a freeware interpreter for Dylan. Includes sources. Runs on 68K, PPC-native, Unix, Windows, and Windows NT.

Mindy is a freeware byte-code compiler for Dylan. Includes sources. Runs on 68K, PPC-native, and Unix.
• Thomas 1.1d/Gambit 2.0d
Thomas is a freeware Dylan interpreter written in Scheme. It's a bit more obsolete than Marlais and Mindy. We've included MacGambit, a very efficient Scheme compiler for 68K (Mac and Unix). Version “d” has recently been added with several improvements, but it still only supports the older (lisp-like) syntax.
